Child Care Can Comes Together at the Thriving Children, Families and Communities Conference
Elizabeth Everett, Campaign Manager, introducing Child Care Can to attendees at the Thriving Children, Families, and Communities Conference
Kearney, NE- Child Care Can was proud to be part of the 2026 Thriving Children, Families, and Communities Conference, bringing together nearly 400 Nebraskans to talk about the issues shaping the future of children, families, and communities. It was especially encouraging to see people from across Nebraska and from so many sectors, including child care providers, educators, business leaders, community organizations, policymakers, and advocates, come together around the table to talk about child care. The conversations reinforced something we know well: Child care is a shared responsibility, and building a stronger system will take all of us working together.
The conference also generated important conversations beyond the room, with media covering the event and the challenges and opportunities facing Nebraska's child care system.
